Presentation
The topics of interest are reef-lagoon ecosystems, particularly in atoll environments, from the point of view of functioning and uses. The activity in 2020 concerns more particularly the functioning of the lagoons of the Tuamotu atolls in French Polynesia and the Cook Islands, and the pearl and aquaculture activity (see http://mana.ird.nc).

Various valorization works resulting from projects now completed continue on the scale of the extended Coral Triangle, i.e. from Indonesia to Melanesia essentially. These projects are more particularly concerned with conservation (habitat mapping, identification of remarkable areas, connectivity between reef complexes, systematic planning approaches, etc.).
